Becoming a Volunteer
Volunteer Enrolment
The Catholic Parish of Corinda Graceville has implemented the Archdiocesan Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults policy. We are committed to high standards of recruitment, screening and selection of all of our employees and volunteers and undertake intentional strategies to maintain a safe and healthy ministry environment for all. If you wish to volunteer for one of our many ministries please contact the Parish Office. Your enquiry will be directed to the Parish Local Safeguarding Representative (LSR), who will then contact you to discover a little bit about yourself and your reasons for wanting to serve in ministry. The LSR will send you an Archdiocesan Volunteer Data Form to fill out and return. It will ask for name and contact details, the type of ministry you’re interested in and when you’re available to serve. It will also ask you for the names and contact numbers of two referees. These must be people, who are not related to you, and have known you for a reasonable length of time. Once you return your Volunteer Data Form, your references will be checked, and you will be contacted to inform you of the next step to take. This will either be to continue the journey of your chosen ministry or a redirection, should your talents be better matched to another role. |
