RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Ministry, offers instruction and support to people who feel they have a call to know more about Jesus Christ and have a desire to become a Catholic Christian and join the Catholic community.
The RCIA is best described as a journey of faith which passes through a number of different phases and focuses on conversion of heart and mind to Christ. It is a gradual journey of around nine months and is tailored to meet the needs of the individual and is delivered in a friendly and helpful way. It involves scheduled meetings in a small group to discuss topics contained in a resource book which will be given to participants to read, reflect on, and to ask any questions they might have. The process culminates with full acceptance in to the Catholic faith often at the Easter Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday, or at any appropriate Liturgy throughout the year. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Catholic Christian, please make contact with the parish office by phoning us on 3362 8777 and speak to the parish office manager, or by visiting the parish office at 18 Clewley Street, Corinda 4075, to arrange an appointment with the Parish Priest, Father Mark Percival. |
