School Masses & Liturgies
Ash Wednesday
Each year, the two school communities traditionally come together to celebrate a Liturgy of the Word with the Distribution of Ashes on Ash Wednesday. This liturgy unites the two schools together and recognises that we are one parish.

Class Masses
Each week during the school terms, one or two classes from each school attends weekday Mass with the parish. St Joseph’s School attends the Thursday 9am Mass and Christ the King attends the Friday 9.30am Mass.

School Sponsored Masses
Once a term, each school community is invited to be involved at a Sunday Mass. St Joseph’s School attend the Saturday 5.30pm Mass and Christ the King School attend the Sunday 9.30am Mass.
At these Masses, the children help the Welcomers hand out the newsletters, a family from the school processes the gifts at the Preparation of the Gifts and the children lead the congregation in a song at the end of Mass. For the dates of the School Sponsored Masses, refer to the parish calendar.

Whole School Liturgies and Masses
At the beginning of each school year, the whole school come together to celebrate an Opening School Liturgy in the church. An End of Year School Mass is also celebrated by each school. These liturgies are scheduled at the normal weekday Mass time and parishioners are more than welcome to attend. CONTACT: The Parish Office 3362 8777.
